You will need a soulsand block, a magma block, four signs, 2 water buckets, and the block that you want to build your elevator from. Shall we start?
You will need to build the same system both to rise and descend. There is only one difference. Well, you first need to make an entrance shown in the photo above and place 2 signs as shown again. Then, cover it with the block you chose. Empty a water bucket from the upside. Lastly, if you make the block which is placed at the bottom soulsand, you will rise. If you do that magma block, you will fall.
